Business Development Director-Government Sales

Job Summary

The Military/LE Business Development Director spearheads sales to U.S. Department of Defense entities & other US government agencies.  They require a deep understanding of the inner workings of the US government market and will build and maintain relationships with Military/LE customers. They must know U.S. Government procurement processes, purchasing contacts and applicable government projects.

The successful candidate will seek to bring their experience and expertise to one of the industry’s fastest growing brands that is in high demand. This position requires an ambitious, self-motivated individual who possesses excellent business development skills.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and leverage key U.S. Government relationships and resources to advance and grow Military and law enforcement business.
  • Develop a strong sales business plan
  • Create and track sales opportunities in CRM
  • Create and manage relationships with U.S. Department of Defense and Federal branches.
  • Prepare and submit weekly sales reports
  • Travel to trade shows, product demos and related events



  • Minimum 10 years’ sales experience, including at least 5 years’ sales experience in Military/government sales channels, preferably in arena of tactical gear, technical apparel or personal protective equipment
  • Strong understanding of military/government procurement
  • Exceptional track record of consistently meeting or exceeding planned sales and profit objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills and a passion for business development
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, thorough by nature
  • Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior Military Service is desirable
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Able and willing to travel within the USA and to Israel
