Yes, you can attach the AMAP III directly to any plate carrier with MOLLE using theAMAP III Conversion Kit that is sold separately.
Not at all. You can use it as a regular assault pack over your plate carrier if you prefer, simply by not removing the shoulder straps. The Shoulder straps are low-profile in order to be able to be worn comfortably over a plate carrier or other gear without being bulky.
Yes. You can use your AMAP III shoulder straps to carry your Edge as a stand-alone hydration pack.
Yes. The exit ports for Radio Antenna, comms/hydration tubes and ports are all completely ambidextrous and can be configured either left or right.

All in all it’s a solid kit and exactly what I was needing size wise as a recon bug out bag/assault kit. As far as tuning goes I recommend replacing the “upper” rear flap G-hooks with buckles for ease of use, ESPECIALLY in cold weather environments. Which is why I found it odd it shipped with 4 female ends and no male ends. I also recommend moving the bottom bag compression straps to the side of the bag (you can fit the female end under the bottom side of the shoulder straps). It allows you to compress the bag evenly and opens up the door to carry a small tripod or breaching tool on the side. Other than that it’s a great bag and I recommend it, just take a few extra minutes when you get the bag to adjust the straps and attachment points for ease of use.
Well, you don’t have any instructions the videos make up the difference. The assault pack is easy to attach multifunctional and sized just right for days worth of work. It’s also a great size for a kids backpack that you can put that flexible plate in. Not sure the way to the plate, but I’ll find out soon enough when I buy one.
The AMAP III Asault Pack fits perfect on my plate carrier, has lots of storage capabilities and is low profile. What I especialy like is that you can use it as a stand alone backpack also.
