Must have, gives more stability, and space if needed. Mounting options inside or outside - overdoing it makes you just feel and look like a mule.
I took it for the quick detach option and because I like something a bit more "meaty" than just a strap, as it offers a bit more stability, and if really needed can hold some extra pouches.
Other than that ... looks cool and gives extra options

Warfighter Expansion Kit for Reaper Rig

The Warfighter Expansion kit for Reaper Rig is a very modular for extra space. I like the fact that I have more than enough room to add extra pouches & pincer pistol mag or mag pouches. The easy quick disconnect makes it the most modular expansion kit for the new Reaper Rig.
